Scott Williams
Managing Director

Scott Williams is a Registered Professional Surveyor with more than 25 years experience. Scott has worked in the Christchurch area since 1994 initially for a large corporate multidisciplinary consultancy. He then worked for a small family survey firm which developed into a multidisciplinary company with 40 staff called Glasson Potts Fowler. Scott was a director of Glasson Potts Fowler until it was sold to Downer in 2007. He held multiple management roles within the company including Christchurch Office Manager and National Survey Discipline Leader.
Scott’s area of expertise is in client development and management. He has experience in surveying, subdivision design, data capture and project management of large scale subdivisions. He has a comprehensive understanding of the resource management and development process. Scott’s skills include being able interpret clients’ requirements, balancing these with the statutory and regulatory restraints, simplifying the often complex issues associated with the land development and subdivision process. Scott is a past Chairman of the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors.

Andrew Fry

Andrew is a Registered Professional Surveyor with more than 25 years experience. Andrew has worked in Christchurch for several large survey consultancies. Andrew is well respected amongst the legal community for his technical knowledge in surveying and the land transfer process. He has a broad knowledge of engineering surveying, resource management and cadastral requirements. Andrew has an extensive understanding of the LINZ Landonline system. He has an excellent technical knowledge and is experienced in project management.

Campbell Edwards

Campbell is a Registered Professional Surveyor who has worked in Christchurch since 2013. He joined Mainland Surveying in March 2021. Campbell has a comprehensive understanding of resource management, cadastral requirements and LINZ Landonline. He finds practical solutions to field work and processing challenges. Campbell communicates well with clients, engineers, architects, Councils, developers and building companies. Campbell is enjoying the opportunity to develop his own client list with the Directors as mentors.

Matt is a survey technician with more than 25 years experience having worked for a number of small and large survey consultancies. Matt’s skills lie in his practical solutions to field work and survey processing of field data. He is experienced in topographical data capture and processing using the latest technology including GNSS, Robotic Total Stations and Digital Levels. He is proficient in field work, calculations, engineering set out and has a depth of experience in both residential and rural subdivisions.
